The members of The Women Veterans ROCK! Advocacy Campaign stand ready to embark upon another exciting year of Advocacy, Campaigning, Recruiting, Engaging and Empowering America’s Women Veterans & Military Families.
Women Veterans ROCK! started this incredible journey six years ago, and like prior year’s, we are stepping through the portal of yet another year as the leading and fastest growing advocacy campaign dedicated to empowering today’s Military Women and Girls in Military Families. And, just like every year before this one, we are STILL dedicated to expanding our networks and expanding the spectrum of “real-life” opportunities for Today’s Military Women and Military Families.
In 2015, we were grateful for the opportunities to expand our base of members and supporters; and, we welcomed several new states into the Women Veterans ROCK! National Affiliate Regional Network.
Our partnerships with other nonprofit and veteran service organizations grew and included American Veterans (Am Vets) and Freedom & Honor. This particular alliance enabled Women Veterans ROCK! to co-sponsor several of the “Women Warrior Weekends” hosted at the historic Valley Forge National Park. Thanks to the generous scholarship program provided by Am Vets, more of our members and supporters benefited from these special Women Warrior Transitional Retreats, led by Freedom & Honor Transitional Specialists.
The Women Veterans ROCK! Day(s) On-Campus program launched a new and exciting live-talk forum on the campus of George Washington University (GWU), in partnership with the GWU Student Veterans Association. Our new live-talk forum is “The Women Veterans ROCK! Voices of Victory Town Hall Tour.” Our Town Hall Tour celebrates the amazing transitions, triumphs and achievements being made by Today’s Military Women. Our new team of On-Campus Organizers host our “Women Veterans Voices of Victory Town Hall Tour” on the campuses of colleges and university across the country.
In November 2015, Women Veterans ROCK! was honored to celebrate the first anniversary of the National Enduring Partnership with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. The Members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority boldly stepped forward as the first and only Greek Letter Organization to pledge national support to America’s Women Veterans and Military Families over a 5-year period. Their commitment as a National Enduring Partner supports The Women Veterans ROCK Advocacy Campaign through its 10-Year Anniversary Celebration in year 2020.
